It is so true that woman is considered so powerful that she can create, nurture and transform her family in the best way she can. It is very important that this pillar of the family remains strong and happy. So ladies of all houses take a note of it. If you want your family to be healthy and happy then you have to be healthy and happy.Keep yourself up in the priority list.

  1. Keep a journal and list out what motivates you.
  2. Listen to motivation talks every day. Don’t think to plan out time from your busy schedule. Instead use your waiting time, traveling time to listen to talks. But yes do remember to download your choice of talks at home:)
  3. Be part of groups on social media which keeps sharing motivation talks and quotes and get access to new content. For example, https://www.facebook.com/groups/1840374632951172/ is a group which shares interesting motivational talks, quotes to keep group members spirit high. Be part of Uplift- an inspired life is a key to happy life group and get inspired and share inspiration too.
  4. Surround yourself with motivated people who share positive talks with you.
  5. Meditation is a must to do activity for everybody in morning. Switch on some meditation music and just sit for at least 20 Mins focussing on your breathing and relaxing your mind.

Meditation-Panacea for Ramifications of Modernism

Meditation is defined as a practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces mode of consciousness either to realize some benefit or as an end in itself!”

I came across this definition somewhere and I was perplexed.  I always wondered how come mind will have time to think to train itself for some relaxation. I have been working from home mother most of the time in my life.Atimes its really challenging for me to manage myself when inflicted with lots of emotions at the same time. As per friend’s suggestion I thought of trying  out meditation to balance myself.Cannot forget the first effort as I simply laughed at myself that how is it possible to sit for a minute also without thinking about anything. How can I even think about it.Our mind is always cluttered with thoughts and idea to make it thoughtless was not digestible to me. But still I was curious that why it is getting so popular.I started trying and it took few years to have a feel of it.I am still not that good in meditating , but yes I have started having a feel of  it.As I am growing, especially after becoming a mother I realize how important it to meditate every day . In a way it should be taken as a regular habit for us and we should not take it for granted. In fact practice of meditation should be taught in schools so that present generation can become strong enough to face life adversities in future.

In rat race of life we almost forget how to live and get used to a robotic way of life. Every individual in family is running towards his goals to achieve abundance and success. Happiness we want  to seek by achieving material goal is momentry only. Meditation helps us to realize who we are and where are we going, besides it also helps in relaxation.Our life is revolving around digital devices and in a way we have started living in virtual world.24/7 we are thinking about how to win this rat race as if we are going to miss something by not participating in it.Happiness cannot be quantified and we are only happy when we are growing in all aspects of life weather it is physical health, material life and also the most important aspect of our life that refers to spiritual health. As we have become too individualistic and consumer obsessed its very important for us to be in real touch of our true self, and meditation helps us in this journey.The benefits of meditation include better health, higher creativity and better personal relationships. Meditation helps us to reduce stress by guiding us to switch off from worries. Meditation is an opportunity to spend time with  ourselves, and be comfortable with ourselves. Spending 15 minutes in quietening the mind and focusing on the present moment, makes us more relaxed and effective decision makers.In fact researches have proved that mindfulness achieved by meditation helps us to increase density of grey matter and thus making our brain more active.Finding from the other research proved that meditation helps in reducing heart diseases.

Dalai Lama, Meditation, and its impact in today’s world!

Dalai Lama  has always been a symbol of peace to me. His constant efforts for Tibet cause in its unique way has attracted world wide attention. He is also know for his guiding and teachings worldwide and his books are very popular throughout world.

Whenever I crossed Dalai Lama’s book section in Library I just felt that his books will talk about peace, love, integrity and may be something about how to meditate, yoga etc. This was until I read one of his books-How to Expand Love.

Well, I will certainly not say that book is a best seller, or very superbly written. But the impression which It created in my mind that being a human being some thoughts which have to be present in every individual then why is it so those are prominent in few persons around the world like his holiness.  In this book he has described seven step self help program to help us open our heart and mind. Some of the snippets are-

It is important to aspire to bring about the well being of others and to develop that aspiration so that it becomes stronger and stronger.

When you generate a reasoned desire for the happiness of others your humanness increases.

May the suffering which I am undergoing now function as the ripening, manifestation and conclusion of many bad karma that I have accumulated.

He say that think about the happiness of others. This will give you amazing happiness. Just imagine the person fulfilling all his dreams and you will be full of love and happiness for him.

Though I must say that all his teachings are tough to follow. You really have to be a saint to follow his preachings. When you lead a normal life going through all your roles, dealing with the worldly duties, experiencing all types of emotions throughout the day then its really challenging to keep your inner voice audible. It needs lots of meditation and practise. Though not impossible still a challenge in itself.

In today’s scenario its necessary to go across such thoughts as it takes you to a different spiritual world from this materialistic world and you are introduced to real yourself!
