Cancel Culture
Cancel culture or a call-out culture is a modern form of ostracism in which someone is thrust out of social or professional circles – whether it be online, on social media, or in person. Those subject to this ostracism are said to have been “cancelled”. The expression “cancel culture” has mostly negative connotations and is commonly used in debates on free speech and censorship.[4]
WIKIPEDIA
The notion of cancel culture is a variant of the term call-out culture and constitutes a form of boycotting or shunning involving an individual (often a celebrity) who is deemed to have acted or spoken in a questionable or controversial manner. The concept of cancel culture has been criticized on the grounds that people claiming to have been “cancelled” often remain in power and/or continue their careers as before. The practice has also been defended as an exercise of free speech

Womenlines takes pleasure to share about Leadership Coach Puja Talesara as an Influencer for Leadership at Womenlines. Check out her tips in the above video to discover your some personal leadership skills shared by Puja-
- What is true happiness?
- How can one be Mindful rather than being Mindful?
- That’s where the power of Personal leadership, activating your Personal leadership compass comes in.
In upcoming videos, I look forward to be sharing with you the technique of WRAP so that we can be mindful and excel in our Entrepreneurship journey!
Personal Leadership Skills for Entrepreneurs
Roebuck (2004), defines entrepreneurial leadership as “organizing a group of people to achieve a common goal using proactive entrepreneurial behavior by optimising risk, innovating to take advantage of opportunities, taking personal responsibility and managing change within a dynamic environment for the benefit of [an] organisation“
Such leadership aims to cultivate entrepreneurial individuals and teams that fully leverage their creative potential in creating value for an organisation. Entrepreneurial leadership does this by employing leadership practices that “develop the ability in employees to self-generate, self-reflect, and self-correct in their workplace”.
Within a sub-division of a large organisation, entrepreneurial leadership can involve effectively using the skills associated with successful individual entrepreneurs and applying those within the environment of the larger organisation. This may seem especially relevant within an organisation where those skills have been lost and replaced with a “corporate” mindset that focuses on process, systems and risk minimization rather than on entrepreneurial behaviour.

Womenlines takes pleasure to share about Ms Ketki Vinayachandra as an ‘Influencer of Health’ at the Womenlines panel. Ketki is sharing articles and videos related to excellence in health through Naturopathy at Womenlines. Ketki is a trained Naturopath and she is quite passionate about creating awareness about Naturopathy across the world. In this video, Ketki is sharing Intermittent Fasting Keto Diet Facts.
Intermittent Fasting Keto Diet
In the above video Ketki is sharing about-
- What is the downside?
- What should we consider?
- Why it is very important to build muscle and metabolic rate?
- Why it is very important to ensure we eat a whole sustainable diet .. not deprive ourselves of carbs?
Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent fasting, also known as intermittent energy restriction, is an umbrella term for various meal timing schedules that cycle between voluntary fasting (or reduced calorie intake) and non-fasting over a given period. Methods of intermittent fasting include alternate-day fasting (ADF), periodic fasting, and daily time-restricted feeding.A type of periodic fasting known as the 5:2 diet was popularised in the UK and Australia by Michael Mosley around 2012.
Intermittent fasting may have similar effects to a calorie-restriction diet, and has been studied in the 21st century as a practice to possibly reduce the risk of diet-related diseases, such as metabolic syndrome. A 2019 review concluded that intermittent fasting may help with obesity, insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and inflammation.

Keto Diet
The premise of the ketogenic diet for weight loss is that if the body is deprived of glucose obtained from carbohydrate foods, it will produce energy from stored fat.
In the 2010s, the ketogenic diet became a fad diet for people wanting to lose weight. The keto diet became popular through celebrity endorsement, but there is no evidence of any distinctive benefit for this purpose, and the diet carries a risk of adverse effects,[with the British Dietetic Association naming it one of the “top five worst celeb diets to avoid” in 2018.
Users of the ketogenic diet may not achieve sustainable weight loss, as this requires strict carbohydrate abstinence, and maintaining the diet is difficult. Side effects may include constipation, high cholesterol, growth slowing, acidosis, and kidney stones.
It has been hypothesized that some people have an atypical metabolism, and would therefore benefit metabolically from adopting a ketogenic diet, but as of 2020, there had been no long-term research into this.

Womenlines takes pleasure to share powerful knowledge about EFT Tapping from the expert Suzanne Alfandri, from the USA. In the video above Suzanne has shared the right way of EFT Tapping when you have lot to do!
The emotional freedom technique (EFT) is an alternative way to reduce physical pain and emotional distress. re you finding like so many in the mental health field, that you are very busy with so much to do and take care of? If you’d like, tap along with this short video to alleviate some of that burden, so you feel better for yourself and those you help. Busy, TooMuch, Time,
How to do EFT Tapping to Reduce Stress-
What is EFT Tapping?
EFT tapping employs the use of patients tapping their fingers on 10 acupuncture meridian points while repeating specific statements suggested by the therapist from the information the client provides. These procedures eliminate negative beliefs and increase physical health and mental well being.
According to a 2012 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, up to 80% of visits to primary care doctors are related to stress. Clinical trials have shown that EFT removes emotional trauma and accelerates the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Over 100 clinical trials published in peer reviewed medical and psychology journals clearly demonstrate that EFT is effective for:
• phobias
• anxiety
• depression
• physical and emotional pain
• posttraumatic stress disorders (e.g. PTSD)
Additionally, EFT treatment helps people improve their business, athletic and artistic performances.

Everyone looks forward to summer, especially if you’ve been cooped up inside during a winter that always seems longer than the last. The summer is your chance to get outside and enjoy the world once again. It’s your chance to show off who you are, and revel in the positive vibes with your friends and family. For many, summer is the best time of the year.
However, as much as looking good is important, you should also remember that continuous sun exposure can damage your skin. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a little sunshine here and there, but basking in the sunshine all day is where problems begin. This shouldn’t come at the expense of your enjoyment, though, so here is some advice for looking good and protecting your skin this summer.
Stay Hydrated
Dehydration is more dangerous than you might expect. Drinking lots of water throughout the day will prevent the range of issues that you may encounter from all-day sun exposure. However, you may not notice you are dehydrated until it is too late.
Staying hydrated throughout the day will prevent problems such as heat stroke and exhaustion. It will also keep your skin healthy and moisturized. You must stick to water rather than alcohol or coffee, as these can have the opposite effect. Even if you are drinking throughout the day, try to balance it with a glass of water regularly.
Pick the Right Sunscreen
Drinking plenty of water will keep you energized, but it won’t completely protect you from the sun. the right sunscreen for your skin is the best solution to this. Not all sunscreen is the same, though, and different people will require different types of protection.
You already know about different levels of protection, with the likes of SPF 20, 30, and 50. So, you should consider a suitable amount for your skin. Everyone loves getting a tan, but the lower the SPF, the greater the chance of burning and skin cancer. Therefore, choose a sunscreen with at least 30 SPF to offer suitable protection.
And Use It The Right Way
Even choosing the correct sunscreen is not enough, though. You should also be careful to use it properly. It might sound impossible to use sunscreen incorrectly, but you’d be surprised, and too many people each year can experience sunburn and sunstroke because they do not apply enough sunscreen in the right places.
Many people will apply it as soon as they get out in the sun, but you need to give it at least 30 minutes to absorb into the skin for the best protection. Furthermore, it’s crucial to reapply when you go swimming, even if the sunscreen claims to be waterproof as wet or moist skin is more prone to burns.
Dress Appropriately
If you’ve spent the winter wrapped up warm, you’re undoubtedly looking forward to wearing something airy and comfortable. But, it’s still important to dress appropriately for the summer. Places like THE ICONIC offer a range of clothes, especially summer dresses, that offer comfort while still reflecting the sun’s rays to keep you cool, even on the hottest days.
If you’re prone to sunburn or have sensitive skin, you should also make sure you cover up if you’re in the sun all day. A jacket or cardigan may be too warm, though, so a sarong or light scarf can protect your shoulders without making you overheat.
Protect Your Eyes
Your skin is not the only thing you need to think about, either. During the summer, your eyes are just as exposed to the brightness, and this can cause innumerable problems later in life. Long-lasting exposure to UV rays will put you at a greater risk of vision damage, so don’t stare directly at the sun.
You’ll also find things more comfortable by wearing sunglasses that provide genuine protection. It’s often tempting to purchase the cheapest sunglasses from stalls along the road, especially if you left yours at home. However, these do not come with suitable UV protection. Look for labels like a CE Mark or UV400 to get an idea of their quality.
Know Your Sun Limits
A lot of people want to spend every possible minute in the sun. However, as enjoyable as this is, you shouldn’t expose yourself to too much sunlight no matter how good your sunglasses are or how much sunscreen you’ve applied.
This is especially true when doing activities. Running or outdoor yoga are great ways to stay in shape, but they could cause severe exhaustion that will make you feel faint or weak. If you feel like you’re getting too hot, take a break, your skin will thank you for it.
Tan Sensibly
Tanning is a great way to look and feel healthy, but it also poses plenty of dangers. If you use tanning oil instead of proper sunscreen, you are putting your skin at risk. Besides skin cancer, you risk wrinkles and dryness, too.
These may not seem as severe, but they will compound and make you look older than you are. This can cause you to feel self-conscious and may ruin your summer altogether. There is nothing wrong with wrinkles, they are natural, but they can make your skin seem older.
Recognize Signs for Concern
The summer gives you the chance to feel free and forget about the stress of work and life even if it’s just for an afternoon. However, this shouldn’t mean you act rashly and are too careless with your skincare. With a bigger exposure to possible skin problems, you must recognize the signs of potential issues before they become more severe.
The easiest thing to notice is sunburn. If this is the case, apply aloe vera and stay out of the sun to allow yourself the time to heal. More seriously, signs of skin cancer in the form of blemishes should be checked out immediately. If you have any spots that are more than 6mm wide or have dark red, brown, or even black patches, you need to get yourself to a doctor as soon as possible.
Look After Your Kids, Too
You are not the only person who will be enjoying the summer. Your friends, family, and your kids will also want to spend as much time as possible in the sun. You can usually trust your friends to look after themselves, but your kids won’t have the same amount of summer skincare knowledge that you do.
Because of this, you must take care of their skin for them. Make sure you keep them hydrated and remind them to wear a sunhat whenever they are outside. You can also measure the time between applying sunscreen to keep a healthy, protective layer wherever they are.
Make The Most of It
All of these issues can make summer sound not as fun as you remember it. As much as looking after yourself (and looking good doing it) is crucial, you should also make sure that you make the most of the summer.
If you have a backyard with plenty of space to relax, get outside as often as possible. If you haven’t seen your friends for a while, arrange a time and a place to reconnect and enjoy each other’s company. Socializing and relaxation can also benefit your appearance this summer, so make sure you embrace the opportunity.
Lovin’ Summer
Everyone deserves to enjoy their summer however they like. But if you want to maintain a healthy glow for as long as possible and reduce the risk of skin conditions later in life, protecting your skin from head to toe is essential. Thankfully, it’s simple enough to protect your skin and your family’s skin this summer.
Womenlines takes pleasure to share about Leadership Coach Sally Anderson as a guest influencer for Leadership at the Womenlines panel from New Zealand. In the article below Sally has shared various business strategies for success. Sally has privately coached key influencers internationally: CEO’s/executive teams/C-Suite forums/entrepreneurs/celebrities/politicians/millionaires/billionaires over 20 years.
In Italy they have a saying, “dolce far niente’, which means ‘The Sweetness Of Doing Nothing’ – check out the clip from the movie ‘Eat, Pray, Love’, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pr2IsSv2TA
Today’s topic, now more than ever, is one that I LOVE facilitating with my high-end leadership clientele. Not only because it is a ‘game changer’ but because I truly do believe it is one of the most effective strategies for business today where exponential results and heightened productivity is concerned.
We live in a world where we believe working all hours that god sends, constantly driving, striving, forcing things to happen is some form of ‘indicator’ for high end performance. Maybe in years past this was the adopted standard BUT nowadays it’s just not a SMART strategy. A high percentage of leaders operate in the DOINGness state of leadership V BEING leadership. The best way I can explain this is to read the most highly recommended book I encourage leadership clients to read and the book is called ‘Synchronicity – The Inner Path Of Leadership’ by Joseph Jaworski, the founder of the American Institute of BEING Leadership V DOING Leadership and his journey to convince the Fortune 500 Company CEO’s of America in a different way of operating/being – HIGHLY recommend reading, if leadership is your game!: https://www.amazon.com/Synchronicity-Inner-Leadership-Joseph-Jaworski/dp/1609940172
When you DO something from the DOINGness state you are DISCONNECTED and you experience: Struggle, anxiety, pressure, overwhelm, depression, fear, and the like
- Here you are operating in what I called the 1-3 dimensional lower level consciousness state of MEANING
When you DO something from the BEINGness state you are CONNECTED and you experience: Flow, slipstream, the vortex, the zone, ease, grace, peace, equanimity
- Here you are operating in what I call the 4-5th and beyond dimensional higher level consciousness state of EQUANIMITY/CO-CREATION
When operating in the DOINGness state the energy is frenetic and there is no space for new opportunities to occur/come in.
When operating in the BEINGness state you create space for new opportunities to come in, synchronistic events occur as a function of who you are being, magic, miracles are abundant BUT you have to create the space and for that to happen you must STOP the incessant DOING.
Plant Analogy: When you plant a seed in the ground you cannot stand over the earth and yell, grow you bastard, well you could but with no results. For the seed to grow and mature there is a gestation period, where you water it, manure it, cultivate it, and in its own time and space it grows into a beautiful strong plant. A lot can be learnt from the natural process of nature.
Business Strategies
I recommend to all my clients to schedule out half a day in their calendar a week to STOP, get out of the office, STOP doing what you would normally do and do something you enjoy doing, go surfing, go fishing, walk in nature, have a round of golf, get some pampering – a massage, a manicure/pedicure/healing session/facial, read a book, watch a movie, go the beach, walk in the water, have a duvet afternoon, start a creative endeavour, ie painting, creative writing, etc – just STOP what you are normally doing to create space – in this space new creative ideas will flow, magic and miracles will miraculously occur, why because you stopped the frenetic energy of forcing things to happen. The psychological benefit of reverse psychology can at times be a complete and utter mind, you know what!
To do this however you need to transform your relationship with ‘trusting the unknown’ dimension. Sadly, few know how to navigate this terrain, especially now with Covid it’s highlighted the global pandemic evident and that folks is not just the virus, it’s the extreme fear leaders experience for they are NOT IN CONTROL!
Here are some standard responses when I raise this conversation:
- But Sally, how can I leave the office, I have so much I need to do!
- But Sally, if I leave the office who is going to do all the work, it’s just going to get backed up!
- But Sally, I cannot leave the office what would the staff think?
- But Sally, that would be irresponsible!
- But Sally, I cannot afford to take time out of the office!
- But Sally, are you crazy, it’s just not the right time!
- But Sally, EVERY week, you must be mad!
- But Sally, what standard is that setting for the staff if I skiver off work?
- But Sally, I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I was not working?
- But Sally, I have responsibilities and if I don’t do it who will?
- But Sally, I don’t know how to STOP, I have never been good at it!
- But Sally, if anyone found out what I was doing, what then?
You get the gist – the look on some CEO’s faces when I facilitate this conversation, it’s literally like I have said I was going to murder their children! Vehement resistance ensues and some excuse or negative response is evoked!
So what do I recommend. YES, you guessed it ‘embrace the art of doing NOTHING’, or SOMETHING that lights the fire in your belly for passion, excitement and joy of life! REGULARLY, EVERY week and I guarantee you will be massively intrigued by what occurs!
I myself am about to go off grid for 10 days, no technology, hang out on the beach, read, chill, down tools completely, and I have this as a staple every 3 months outside of taking 6-8 weeks off at the end of the year. When was the last time you scheduled actually scheduled doing NOTHING or SOMETHING that floats your boat on your ‘To Do’ list? HIGHLY recommend taking your diary TODAY and marking out a whole afternoon EVERY week in your dairy where you dedicate time to you, and you can do whatever you want, but NOTHING to do with work – this ironically enough is one of the BEST investments you will ever make in your business if results are what you are interested in – it’s in the not doing that creates the space for miracles to occur.
If any of this resonates for you today I would love to talk with you….you have no idea the gold that lies in this advice and wisdom! AND if you are interested in receiving the 50 Comparative Examples Audit of BEING Leadership V DOING Leadership PM me direct on Linkedin and I will send it to you! It’s an eye-opener!

She was sexually abused at 9 years old and by 11 years old her biological father told her he could not see her again – she has not seen him since. Aged 13 she fell into the hands of a family acquaintance who groomed her for the next few years. Throughout her teenage years she drank excessively, took drugs, became bulimic and by 15 years old was pretty exhausted by life and addicted. Her school life struggled, she was often sent to isolation, was labelled a juvenile delinquent by a child psychiatrist at 14 and often suspended – none of which were effective. She struggled with nerves, night terrors, late development, OCD, PTSD, nausea, eating disorders, paranoia, anxiety. At 19 she took off to Spain and at 23 started an A-Z of therapy.
