Ashwagandha is one of the most important herbs in Ayurveda, which is a traditional form of alternative medicine based on Indian principles of natural healing. The name “ashwagandha” describes the smell of its root, which means “like a horse.” For many years, people have used the roots and fruit of ashwagandha for medicinal purposes. The herb is also known as Indian ginseng or winter cherry.

What is Ashwagandha exactly and how it can help women?

Remember, Remember The Fifth of November – It’s Global Networking Day!

British Networker of the Year Marc Jarrett believes the world should start celebrating this increasingly vital activity.

Jarrett, a business owner from Sussex, has announced that he will launch Global Networking Day, which he describes as a global networking festival.

“I’ve been extolling the virtues of virtual business networking since long before the pandemic because it saves so much time, money and carbon. But what I enjoy the most about networking this way is its global reach. The world really is our oyster when it comes to meeting interesting new people and growing our tribes in the virtual universe that we all now inhabit.”

Marc Jarrett

As part of his work, Jarrett has created and curated more than 200 WhatsApp groups covering a wide range of industries, businesses and social subjects and to which he has invited the crème de la crème of those fields.

“Networking remains an inherent part of the human condition. We’re all hardwired to grow our tribes. To this end, we need a special day where we celebrate doing this.”

Marc Jarrett

Jarrett spent most of his career in telecoms and in 2002, was first to market with custom ringtones and mobile screen logos. A decade later, he launched the world’s first celebrity chatline, which was featured in America on ABC, CNN, Howard Stern and the Wendy Williams Show.

Endorsed by the head of partnerships at Meta, Jarrett recently received the “Networker of The Year” award from the Speakers Are Leaders Bureau. Having overcome depression and gambling addiction, he is a strong advocate of mental wellbeing. Jarrett values authenticity and honesty. His ethos is “Open, Random and Supportive,” actively encouraging members of his network to share their traumas as well as their triumphs.

The desire for us to meet and form business relationships and to recognize, create, or act upon business opportunities, share information and seek potential partners for ventures is in our collective DNA. We are hardwired to network.

One of the positives occasioned by the novel coronavirus COVID-19 is that it was a shared experience. The word ‘pandemic’ is derived from the Greek pánd?mos, “of or belonging to all the people” — we are all in this together.

Another is that virtual business networking became a ‘thing’ saving enormous amounts of time, money and carbon, not to mention its globality.

This Networking Festival will take place on Virtual Experience Platform Remo and will be ‘freestyle’ with no time constraints or formal agenda.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, so with others.

See globalnetworkingday.com for more information.

Millennial customers make up a large section of the travel industry. Follow these tips and tricks to get more millennials to stay at your hotel. The quickest way to seem out-of-touch with millennials is to assume that they’re still teenagers. Millennials are between 25–40 years old. They have jobs, families, and homes, and they love to travel. If you want to get more millennials to stay at your hotel, you need to understand what they’re looking for in a lodging experience and how that differs from their parents’ and grandparents’ generations.

Trendy Design

The saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” is terrible advice because it ignores the fact that most people do judge things by appearances. Like it or not, guests will judge your hotel by the landscaping, front lobby design, and even the typeface of your logo. Updating these features will give your hotel the face-lift it needs to appeal to millennial guests.

Social Media Presence

If you want to appeal to a younger audience, you have to be accessible through social media. Use your Instagram to show potential guests rooms, events, and real guests enjoying the amenities (with their permission, of course!). This is important for marketing purposes, and it shows that you’re prepared to engage with a millennial audience.

Maximize Website Utility

Once your guests arrive at your hotel’s main website, it’s vital that they can book their stay, make payments, and get information about restaurant menus from their smartphones. Put everything you can onto your website so that guests can easily find what they need.

Be Eco-Friendly

Most millennials are hyper-aware of the environmental issues facing the world, and they like to mitigate their contributions to these problems wherever possible. Install charging stations for electric vehicles, advertise your recycling plan, and offer shuttle services to and from major airports to reduce individual car travel.

Offer Self-Service Options

If you want to get more millennials to stay at your hotel, you need to recognize that most of them prefer doing things themselves. For example, instead of offering extra toiletries in your hotel store, place vending machines with these items near the drink and snack machines so that guests can help themselves.

Millennials account for a large portion of the travel customer demographic, which means it’s important not to leave them out when designing your business. We hope these tips help you attract more millennial guests to your establishment.

A power outage is highly detrimental to the bottom line of small startups. Luckily, there are ways to mitigate adverse outcomes when the power goes out. Power outages can be devastating, and if you’re a small business owner, you could have a lot to lose. While these situations could result in a loss of clientele and employee productivity, there are five power outage tips for every small business that could help you prepare for the worst and avoid this outcome

Have a Plan

The best method to combat a power outage is to proactively establish a plan that outlines your response during emergencies. The program should specify your team’s procedures and expectations during outages and disasters to ensure their safety.

To set up your emergency response plan, you’ll want to do the following:

  • Set up your team
  • Offer training
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Practice and review the plan

Pro tip: Map alternate routes your team can use to get to safety. Avoid using elevators and escalators.

Have an Emergency Kit

Regardless of the size of the business, it helps to have an emergency kit readily available during a power outage. You’ll want to include essentials like water, first aid supplies, rope, flashlights, maps, and a battery-powered radio.

Own a Generator

One of the most effective tips on this list is to have a backup power unit that can run critical operations when energy is scarce. Operating the unit safely is another aspect to consider; you want to prioritize your safety and that of your team.

Backup generators should have adequate ventilation to avoid accumulating hazardous levels of carbon monoxide and potentially poisoning those near them. To avoid injuring utility experts, don’t directly install generators into the nearest outlet.

Pro tip: If you don’t have a backup power unit, do a bit of research to ensure you pick the right industrial generator for your business.

Call and Report the Outage

During an outage, it helps to connect with your utility provider and alert them to the situation. You’ll want to provide details describing the event, the time of occurrence, and the location.

It would be best to mention affected power lines and areas to determine potential hazards, as it prompts a swift call to action on their part.

Turn Off and Disconnect Equipment

Outages are notorious for causing electrical surges in equipment and creating fire risks. Unfortunately, keeping doors open will be challenging without the necessary tools to run your small business. Turn off and disconnect business appliances and equipment during the event to mitigate damage.

Knowing how to combat a power outage is essential for most business owners. By implementing these power outage tips, every small business can keep their team safe and productive without a hiccup in daily operations.

Read about how to make your office more ergonomic! With these tips, you can improve your office space and keep employees feeling comfortable at work.

Sitting in an office chair for eight hours can get uncomfortable, especially if you don’t have an appropriate setup. The height of your chair and monitor work in tandem with your posture. Learn about how to create an ergonomic set-up to keep back pain to a minimum in your workplace.

Stand More Often

Sitting for your entire shift can lead to pain in your back, neck, and arms. And if you tense your neck and back, this can lead to increased strain that becomes painful over time. Aim to alternate between sitting and standing at your desk. Standing desks have grown in popularity for this reason.

Set a timer to alternate between sitting and standing every 30 to 60 minutes for the best results. Remember, standing too long can also irritate your lower back and isn’t more ergonomic.

Pro Tip

Aim to walk around or stretch when you go from standing to sitting, as this helps loosen your muscles and prevents stiffness.

Buy Ergonomic Office Furniture

There are a few key characteristics to look for when shopping for the best office furniture. For example, the chair cushion should be firm to prevent slouching. Ergonomic chairs also have armrests to keep your arms at a 90-degree angle as you sit and type. As you seek out the essentials for an ergonomic workstation, you should also purchase:

  • Adjustable monitors: the screen should be at eye level
  • Standing desks: allow employees to adjust the height of their desks
  • Ergonomic keyboards: hands should be shoulder width apart when typing

Look around the office and note areas where changes are necessary for an appropriate setup. Quality furniture will provide everyone with comfort and encourages healthy habits to help prevent back pain.

Place the Monitor Appropriately

The location of your monitor also plays a large role in creating an ergonomic setup at work. This is because if the computer is too close, it can bother your eyes, and if it’s too high, you’ll have to bend your neck to see it.

Ideally, the monitor should be an arm’s length from your face, and your head should be level when you look at the screen. So, if you go from standing to sitting, you may have to adjust the height of the monitor as well as the desk height. Remember, your arms should be at a 90-degree angle whether you sit or stand to prevent muscle strain.

Take Breaks

Stepping away from the computer is important for your mental health and ergonomics. Staring at the screen for too long could lead to eyestrain and cause headaches. Remember to take at least 15 minutes to step away during the workday. Additionally, aim to relocate at lunch so you don’t feel tempted to work at your desk. Keep your work habits healthy so you always feel ready to jump into a task.

There is no question that female business owners have many hurdles to overcome to be successful. But with the right tools and information, it is definitely possible! The following blog will discuss some tips on how female business owners can grow their businesses. It will talk about things like networking, marketing, and financial planning.

There is no question that female business owners have many hurdles to overcome to be successful. But with the right tools and information, it is definitely possible! The following blog will discuss some tips on how female business owners can grow their businesses. It will talk about things like networking, marketing, and financial planning.

1) Get Involved In Networking Groups

Female business owners should get involved in networking groups. This is a great way to meet other like-minded women and learn from each other. There are many different types of networking groups out there, so it should be easy to find one that fits your needs. You can even start your own group if you can’t find one that you’re interested in!

Networking can help you grow your business in many ways. It can help you connect with potential customers or clients, as well as other businesses that could potentially partner with you. It’s also a great way to keep up with industry trends and learn about new opportunities.

There are plenty of networking events happening all the time, so make sure to attend as many as possible. You never know who you’ll meet or what kinds of connections you’ll make. And don’t forget to follow up with the people you meet! Send them an email or LinkedIn message and stay in touch.

2) Create A Marketing Plan

One of the most critical things female business owners can do to grow their business is to create a marketing plan. This document will serve as a roadmap for your marketing efforts and will help you stay on track as you work to increase brand awareness and generate new leads.

When creating your marketing plan, be sure to include:

-Your target market: Who are you trying to reach with your marketing? Define your ideal customer in terms of demographics, interests, and needs.

-Your unique selling proposition: What makes your business different from others in your industry? Why should potential customers choose you over your competitors?

-Your goals: What do you hope to achieve with your marketing efforts? Do you want to increase brand awareness, generate new leads, or drive sales?

-Your budget: How much money are you willing to invest in your marketing efforts?

-Your timeline: When do you want to achieve your goals?

Creating a marketing plan may seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. Start by brainstorming your goals, and then work backward to create a plan to help you achieve them. If you need help, plenty of marketing templates and resources are available online.

Once you have your plan in place, make sure to review and adjust it regularly. As your business grows, your marketing goals will likely change, so it’s essential to revisit your plan regularly. By doing so, you can ensure that your marketing efforts are always aligned with your business goals.

3) Focus On Financial Planning

One of the best ways for female business owners to grow their businesses is by focusing on financial planning. This means creating a budget and sticking to it, and looking for ways to save money and increase profits. Several software programs can help with this, or you can hire a financial planner to help get your business on track.

Another critical element of financial planning is ensuring you have enough money saved up in an emergency. This could be anything from losing a significant client to having to make a large unexpected purchase. Having a cushion of savings will give you peace of mind and help you weather any storms that come your way.

Finally, don’t forget to plan for your retirement. This is especially important for female business owners, as we tend to live longer than men and often have less money saved. There are several retirement planning tools available, so take some time to research what would work best for you and your business.

4) Invest In Yourself

Investing in yourself is one of the best things you can do for your business. This means taking the time to learn new things, networking with other professionals, and attending industry events. When you invest in yourself, you’re not only improving your skills and knowledge, but you’re also making a statement to potential clients and customers that you’re serious about what you do.

By taking the time to grow as a professional, you’ll be better equipped to handle whatever challenges come your way and take your business to the next level. Additionally, when people see that you’re continuously learning and growing, they’ll be more likely to want to work with you. So don’t be afraid to spend some time and money on furthering your education and career – it’ll be well worth it in the long run.

5) Create An Excellent Website

The website is the first impression for most businesses. It needs to look amazing and be user-friendly. If a potential customer clicks on your website and it’s not well put together, they will likely leave and never come back. Make sure all of your content is up-to-date, your photos are high quality, and your overall design, from WebX360 Web Design, looks professional.

Your website should also be optimized for search engines (SEO). This means using the right keywords throughout your site so that when people search for terms related to your business, your website comes up as one of the top results. There are a lot of factors that go into SEO, but doing some basic research and implementing the most important techniques will make a big difference.

Finally, your website should have a strong call-to-action (CTA). This is a statement or button that encourages visitors to take a specific action, such as signing up for your email list or making a purchase. Without a CTA, people may come to your website and then leave without taking any action. Make sure your CTA is clear and easy to find, and consider using an incentive, such as a discount code, to encourage people to take the desired action.

By taking the time to create an excellent website, you’ll be able to make a solid first impression on potential customers and set yourself up for success.

6) Use Social Media

Social media can be a great way to connect with potential customers and grow your business. By creating a solid social media presence, you can reach a wider audience and build relationships with potential customers. Additionally, you can use social media to create valuable content that will help promote your business.

When using social media for your business, it’s essential to create a strategy and stick to it. Decide which platforms you want to use, what kind of content you want to share, and how often you want to post. Once you have a plan in place, make sure you are consistent with your postings. If you only post sporadically, people will lose interest in following your page.

Additionally, don’t forget to interact with your followers. Respond to comments and questions in a timely manner. Showing that you are responsive and engaged will help to build trust with your potential customers.

Social media can be a powerful tool for female business owners. By creating a strong presence and sharing valuable content, you can reach a wider audience and build relationships with potential customers.

7) Focus On Your Customers

One of the best ways to grow your business is by focusing on your customers. Make sure you are providing them with the best possible service and products. Show them that you care about their needs and wants. When you make your customers happy, they will be more likely to return to your business and recommend it to others.

Another way to focus on your customers is to get feedback from them. Ask them what they think about your products or services. Find out what they would like to see improved. Use this feedback to make changes in your business that will benefit your customers.

Finally, always keep in mind that without customers, your business would not exist. So treat them well and show them how much you appreciate their business!

8) Offer Discounts And Promotions

Discounts and promotions can be a great way to attract new customers and grow your business. By offering a discount on your products or services, you can entice people who may not have considered your business before. And once they try your products or services, they may become lifelong customers.

You can promote discounts and promotions in a variety of ways, such as through social media, email marketing, or even flyers and posters. Just make sure you are clear about the terms of the promotion so that there is no confusion. For example, if you are offering a percentage off of purchases over a certain amount, be sure to state that clearly.

Discounts and promotions can be an effective way to attract new customers and grow your business. Be sure to promote them in a clear and concise manner so that people know exactly what they are getting.

In conclusion, there are many ways female business owners can grow their businesses. By taking the time to create a solid online presence, focusing on customers, and offering discounts and promotions, you can reach a wider audience and build relationships with potential customers.

Your business isn’t doomed if it starts to stagnate, but a change will need to happen. Here’s how you can stave off that unpleasant stagnation

Stagnation is an unfortunate word to hear when you run your own business. Normally, we imagine that stagnation can only lead to failure, but that isn’t always the case when you’re a business owner. Whether your salon has stopped seeing growth or you can’t get new customers to your restaurant, all businesses have periods of stagnation. We’ll talk about what you can do when your business starts to stagnate that can help start the growth back up again.

Search for Ideas From Others

If you run a small business, it can start to feel a little like your child. When you feel this way, you can start to get overprotective and think that only you can handle the issues you’re having. It’s important to remember that businesses need more than one person to run efficiently. If you’re starting to see stagnation, ask your business partners, employees, or customers for ideas on opportunities they see that you might be missing.

Adapt Through Specialization

A lot of smaller businesses try to be everything all at once. When you’re just starting out, this isn’t so difficult. However, as your business grows, trying to be perfect in every aspect is a much larger undertaking and isn’t feasible for any business. Specialization can take your business to the next level by helping you find new customers and catering your offerings to what they need the most. As you grow even more, you can take on more specializations with different branches of your business.

Extend Your Social Connections

One of the best things you can do when your business starts to stagnate is expand your social media and create more connections. Of course, you want to reach as many potential customers as possible through your social media channels, but don’t forget that you can also make professional connections with other businesses. Not only can you attain new ideas and insight from a larger pool of people, but you’ll also have more customers and partners talking about your business to people in their own social circles.

Hold Off on Side Projects. It’s tempting to start experimenting with new products and services once you begin to show some growth, but you can dive too deep if you’re not careful. The core of your business is not self-sustaining—it requires care and development, just like any side project. If you’ve been distracted by other projects, take some time off and refocus your efforts on growing the part of your business that got you to where you are today.
