This month Shubhnagi is sharing a very informative article about what is the meaning of health and how to healthy –

Health is wealth. It’s a very famous quote and we all at one point in time think and decide that now is the time when I need to consider my health as a priority. Health is a real gem of life and everyone needs to understand it as soon as possible. Before keeping Health as a goal, we need to understand it correctly. The most basic reason why most of the people failing in achieving a healthy lifestyle is a misconception about Health. When we say or hear term health, we just imagine one thing and that is a Gorgeous Body. Yes… that’s all most of the people can think about being healthy. Just having a fit body does not make us healthy. health has multiple facets. And each facet should be tune with each other to make a person Healthy. Or many people answer I am very healthy as I don’t have any disease. As per the WHO health is defining as – ‘Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.’ It is very clear from the definition that health is not just about free of diseases process. The three-basic component of Health is 1.Physical fitness 2. Mental wellbeing 3.Social well being.

Hence if you target a healthier version of yourself, then target wellness at three different levels. This will keep the balance between body and mind. If you keep trying to have a fitter body, and your mind is constantly occupied with various kind of stress then it is very difficult for your body and mind to work in harmony to bring out the best result for you in terms of physical fitness and you are not achieving a healthy lifestyle. Social wellness is a sense of belonging and social inclusion. Being associated with family and friends keeps you motivated. Many cases have been found where a person is physically fit and balanced in mindfulness, but they lack a social support system. Eventually, they feel alone, go into silent depression and anxiety. And lack majorly in term of being Healthy. Hence when we try to keep ourselves balance in these three-level ie., physically fit, mentally well trained to cope up and socially well connected, our body will automatically tune itself to follow a disciplined lifestyle to keep physical fitness at optimal level, keeping calmness in stressful situation and holding our self to the society as included member with sense of belonging. These steps will eventually lead to a healthy lifestyle. Give yourself time to adapt these factors in routine and you will find following a healthy lifestyle will not be a target anymore, it is the way of living!! Therefore, now when your goal is Healthy style just not start with going to the gym or joining any yoga class, add it up with meditation, brain exercises and spending time with family, friends and connecting yourself to the community. Next time when you decide or anyone around you commit to lead a healthier lifestyle please does make them aware of these three components of health. Target a healthy body and mind together
