It was such a pleasure accidental landing on the facebook page of Ms. Abha Maryada Banerjee, and I was so much exhilarated after reading her intro as First Indian Woman motivational speaker.
Abha is the author of the first Leadership book for Women from India or Asia, called NUCLEUS: Power Women: Lead from the Core’.A 544 Super Manual with iconoclast and pathbreaking ideas from the field of law, leadership, personal development and universal laws of nature for building and empowering Women Leaders.
Considered as emotional fitness guru by media Ms. Abha Maryada Banerjee is India’s first woman motivational speaker of international acclaim, rated as one of the Top Ten Life, Business and Success Coaches in the Asia Pacific. An expert at Leadership, Human Peak Performance and Emotional Intelligence, having spoken at prestigious forums across Asia, she has coached and consulted top CEOs, Media personalities, Sports Stars, Business people, leaders in the making and has been closely associated with the spiritual aspect of Leadership as well. Called ‘Asian Oprah’ and the ‘Asian Woman Motivator’, she professes ‘Personal Mastery’ for individuals and ‘Emotional Fitness for Corporates’ for achieving human capital excellence. 1. Please share with our reader’s little bit about yourself?
I am India’s First internationally acclaimed Woman Motivational Speaker and author of the watershed book on Leadership for Women, called NUCLEUS: Power Women: Lead from the Core. I am also the founder of SUCCESS INDIA LEADERSHIP, a VISION DRIVEN venture, with a view to impart success education and lead a ‘mental freedom movement’ via various media outlets, for easy and affordable reach.I have been recognized as America’s Premier Experts and appeared recently on Brian Tracy’s show in the US. I am also the recipient of Rex Karma Veer Chakra Award 2014 and Rex Karma Veer Global Fellow 2014. The award is given by the International Confederation of NGO’s with United Nations.
2. So when did you venture into this venture and what inspired or motivated you to take a plunge into this venture?
I started this venture in 2008 with a view that Success is desired by everyone but many have no idea what it really means. I wanted to de-mystify success and also create an environment where people could see success as their own possibility.The Book is an offshoot is this venture, focused on creating leadership amongst women.
3. Can you share with us some of the challenges you faced during your initial days?
Like any new venture, I used my own funds to start up and run the show. As a Motivational Speaker, I faced a lot of flak for being a woman and was questioned on the need for motivation at all. I had to work for free to show that it works and helps people to think differently than they ever did.
4. So how do you balance your personal and professional life?
Prioritizing and laser focus. Like in business, I like to build systems at home as well so my family members are not inconvenienced in any way, and all of them can use the same systems. The staff is trained likewise.
5. What would you suggest to other aspiring women who want to venture out on their own?
Have a very strong support system to help at home, so you can focus on the venture. The ups and downs are unknown so it is necessary to make sure that your backend is taken care of. You will need emotional and physical support as well through the legwork, so it is important to create systems and have a good support system. Find good friends and family to help.
6. Is there any person who has mentored/supported/inspired you?
People, in general, inspire me, I learn from everyone. In particular, I am Swami Vivekananda fan and follower. My parents are my heroes.
7. What do you have in the pipeline for your venture’s future development?
My book NUCLEUS is hailed as a watershed book on Leadership for Women. I am creating business’s relevant to empower women, around the
book. I also intend to take the book across the World. Success India Leadership will work alongside these business’s to impart all kinds of help and training.
The next book will be focused on youth and children. Also, a book on Spiritual Leadership is in the offing.
